Events Rental - Frequntly Asked Questions

How do I reserve a space?

We will hold a space on a tentative basis for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, the space will be released unless engager has given intention to book the event. We do not require money in order to tentatively hold space.

How do I arrange for a tour of the rental space?

We strongly recommend scheduling an appointment with our Private Event Sales Department to tour the space. To speak with the Private Event Coordinator, please call (513) 333-7584 or email: athomas@nurfc.org .

May I select my own caterer?

We work with three preferred caterers: Elegant Fare: 513-552-1340; Jeff Thomas Catering: 859-291-0286; and D&D Last Minute Catering: 513-351-2052. Please feel free to contact your choice, and they will be more than happy to work with you on your food and beverage needs.

What kind of deposit do you require?

The Private Event Sales Coordinator will send an outline of the event details. A signed copy of the contract and 50 percent of the total room rental charge is due within 15 days. The balance of the room rental will be due 10 days prior to the event.

When is the space available for rental?

The Freedom Center is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 11:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed all day on Sunday & Monday. Therefore, we are able to rent space for private events on Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 10:00 am and after 5:00 pm till Midnight. We will rent the entire facility on Sundays & Mondays from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. Extended hours are available at an additional charge.

Do you have any décor restrictions?

  • The Freedom Center must approve all decorations brought into the facility prior to the event taking place.
  • All décor must be free standing; there may be no items attached to the walls.
  • Pyrotechnics are not permitted
  • Rice, glitter, confetti, bubbles and the like are not permitted in the building at any time.
  • Helium balloons are not permitted in the Grand Hall.
  • No candles larger than a votive size; in addition all candles MUST be in a holder/container
  • Live plants and trees are not permitted; cut flower arrangements, silk greenery and plants are permitted.

May I bring in my own entertainment?

All forms of Entertainment must be approved by the Private Event Department at least 14 days prior to event.

Do you offer nonprofit rates?

Yes, nonprofit rates are available.

Is your building handicap accessible?

Yes, we are handicap accessible.

Do you have parking available?

The Freedom Center does not own a parking garage. Parking is available at the Central Riverfront Parking Garage which is directly below our building. The parking garage is accessible on Main Street. Valet Parking is also available. Please contact the Private Event Coordinator for recommendations.
